Has fallen even more aloud – on 37,44 % – with 187,58 to 117,35 million dollars.
The profit in recalculation on one share of company for the first quarter 2009 has made 0,50 dollars – in comparison with 0,79 dollars for the same period of last year.
It is necessary to notice that thus at all in a quantitative sense deliveries of motorcycles Harley-Davidson in the first quarter of current year not only haven't decreased, but also on the contrary, have grown (on 2 802 pieces) – with 71 868 in first three months 2008 to 74 670 in first three months of this year. Thus growth has been provided exclusively at the expense of the American sales – deliveries of bikes under brand Harley-Davidson in the USA in January-March 2009г. Have made 52 710 pieces (almost on 5 thousand more than year before – 47 826 units), but the international deliveries on 2 with superfluous thousand have decreased – with 24 042 to 21 960).
All it means that the manufacturer has been compelled to reduce aloud the prices for the production, but also this measure has helped only partially.
Sales of sports motorcycles Buell (under control Harley-Davidson) practically haven't changed and have made 2 441 copy (in comparison with 2 392 pieces year before). Sales of motorcycles MV Agusta (now too under control Harley-Davidson) have made 685 pieces. The comparative data on them isn't resulted, as Harley-Davidson has bought this brand only in the autumn of 2008.
“We are still strongly anxious by a current situation, and we continue to consider 2009 as a serious call for all motorcycle branch in whole and our company in particular”, – head Harley-Davidson Jim Zimer (Jim Ziemer) has declared. The company thus while confirms the forecast that its general deliveries of bikes this year will make from 264 000 to 273 000 pieces, having shown thus decrease on 10-13 % from level of 2008. Particularly on the second quarter of current year the plan of deliveries of motorcycles Harley-Davidson makes 55 000 – 59 000.
